Sessions can last 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on the willingness and mood of the child. I work with beautiful natural light only, and do not use studio lighting of any kind. I strive to capture your child's unique personality and beauty to preserve for years to come.
Here on beautiful Whidbey Island there are countless outdoor settings available. When choosing a location, it is best to have an area with open shade available.
The best time of day to shoot in my home is early to mid afternoon. Please note; I can only accommodate individual children in my home.
Please let me know what you have in mind BEFORE the shoot.
*NOTE: If you are hoping for holiday pictures or Christmas cards please schedule your shoot BEFORE November. Here in Washington the weather quickly goes down hill after that. Those who wait until after will be on a floating schedule that depends on available sunny days.
Simple, classic, solid colored clothing is best, and will stand the test of time. Denim and khakis photograph well. Clothing with bright prints, patterns and obvious logos are not recommended. Simple dresses for girls and overalls for boys are a popular favorite. Keep footwear simple, bare feet are always fun!
Feel free to bring your child's favorite , blanket, or keepsake as well as your child‘s favorite snacks for in between shots. Items that are special to the child can make a wonderful keepsake photograph, and help the child to be comfortable.
Online proofs from your portrait session will be available for 5 days after your session for your viewing. I will email you with the link. Feel free to share your gallery with friends and family during that time. There is a fee to re-post proof albums after the 5 days is up. Once you have made your choices, we can meet to place an order and collect payment. Please place your order no later than 10 days after your session. Payment For prints is due when you place your order. At this time I can only accept cash payments or credit card via Paypal. Photos will be delivered approximately 7-14 days after ordering. Printed proofs are available for a fee. NOTE: Online proofs will be cropped at an 8x10 ratio, ordering other sizes will result in a slightly different crop.
POLICIES:
Client will be given the opportunity to examine photos at pick up. Any problems MUST be pointed out at this time. No refunds or exchanges.
Copyright Law: All though the images are of you and your loved ones, the rights of the photos belong to the photographer. Any reproduction of these images, or saving the photos from your proof gallery or my website is against the law.
